My Re-opening plans
So we are here again…
I am closed in Toronto, until min Jan 23 as per lockdown orders
Your safety is so important to me and with all my cleaning procedures I am happy to announce that I have had over 814 appointments since I re opened and we have had Zero cases in the salon. Once we are able to reopen we will continue to be a safe environment for you to enjoy some self care time.
Right now the government of Ontario does not have a set date to allow us to reopen. And the only fair thing to do is to not book anything until we do have a date.
And, I’m trying to be realistic and I didn't think we would have been given the ok to open by dec 21, (but January may happen, I am being hopeful) As the Chief health officer has said here:
That being said I have started a list of all appointments that are canceled between now and Jan 23 . They are in order of how your appointment was canceled. I will continue to add to it as needed. I am not accepting any new clients until I have seen all of you first.
As before once I have the ok to open I will be extending my hours and days to accommodate you all as quickly as possible. The moment I know I will be calling each of you to book!
I want to thank you all for your kindness over the last year, and know that I truly am blessed with the best group of clients any stylist could have. So thank you all for making my last reopening as seamless as it could be.
Below is my Covid policies, as I’m sure they will apply for this next reopening
First off, can I just say I miss you all so much!
I have received the guidelines from the Ontario government and the city of Toronto, and will be following them in regard to re-opening. I am trying to make this experience as “normal” as possible but knowing a few things will have to temporarily change. Please note that this may change slightly if I get updated guidelines etc. Our health and safety is my top priority and as always, I want to ensure we have a positive hair experience together.
So, lets first talk about what I’m doing to protect both of us.
So far, I have taken multiple health and safety courses, including but not limited to, Barbicide certification, Barbicide Covid-19 certification, and working on my smart serve (this one is for some future plans) I know you all know that I am clean, but I will just repeat… as always, every client will get a clean cape and or robe and clean towels. In addition, these are some adjustments myself and the salon already have in place
The towels are cleaned in the hottest water and dried on the hottest setting and bleached by a service which has some awesome Covid-19 protocols in place.
Each client receives a clean Cape, Robe and towel. Which is stored in drawers and cabinets away from the clients.
I will be wearing a mask and apron for each guest. (everyone in the salon will be wearing a mask at all times)
In between each client I will be cleaning the shampoo sinks and chairs styling chair, side tables, anything that is touched during the service, as always using proper cleaning and disinfection methods for all hair tools I was using. Including 70% alcohol, Lysol and Barbicide. (which is a hospital grade disinfectant)
Bathrooms are cleaned regularly throughout the day
Handles of all doors are cleaned regularly throughout the day
Front desk is cleaned in between each client with lysol and 70% Alcohol, including the debit machine (which is covered with seran wrap to make to more effective cleaning) and counter top
I will be washing my hands regularly and using hand sanitizer often.
I have hand sanitizer available at my station and located throughout the salon.
Now what do I need from you?
If any of the following applies to you, please do not come in!
if you are currently waiting for a covid 19 test to come back
you have returned from travel in the last 14 days.
if you have been in contact with someone who has returned from travel in the last 14 days.
if you have been contacted by public health because you have been exposed to someone who has COVID-19.
if you feel you have symptoms of COVID-19, even mild.
Just please do not come in!
Additionally, I send out a txt 5 days before your appointment with links to have you self assess.

All appointments will be booked though ME only moving forward (see my contact info at the bottom of the page if you don’t already know how to reach me directly, if you have any questions please reach out).
Reminders of your appointments will be sent out via text 6 days before or email if preferred.
It’s very important if you cannot make your appointment that at least 48 hours notice is given so that I may fill your space.
If you feel like you have symptoms and need to cancel, please do, the cancelation fee will be waived in this case. If you have to cancel because of health please note that you will not able to rebook for 14 days, for everyones safety.
Please note this is just to protect my clients, myself and family and all the guests in the salon.
Upon arrival please, wait outside and txt me, and I will come get you. I will be wearing my apple watch so I will be able to receive all messages. Unfortunately, we are temporarily not able to have a waiting area
Once inside you must use hand sanitizer, or wash your hands. I have purchased Canadian made, health Canada approved sanitizer I will provide for all my guests. (apexlab.ca, I highly recommend it’s very nice stuff)
Please you must wear a mask, if you do not have one, or don’t want to risk yours being covered in hair colour, (I can’t avoid it) I can add one to our service for a minimal charge of $1.25.
Temporary restrictions/conditions for appointments:
All appointments have strict times. I cannot go over time with your appointment. (if your looking for a few extra highlights or treatment or a trim added on your appointment, no problem, just let me know when we are booking so I can ensure we have ample time. I am doing all services as normal, and as per the governments current guidelines. so YES to blow-dry's shampoos etc)
Please come alone, no family or friends will be permitted to join you for your appointment. We have a limited number of people able to be in the space at one time.
Keep in mind these are not regular colour maintenance appointments and there will be an additional charge for extra product used.
I will not be serving any food of beverages for the time being, but as soon as I’m able to, you will all get to see my latte skills I’ve been working on during quarantine!
I’m also asking that you wear a mask, if you do not have one I have ones for my clients, I can add on to your bill for a minimal charge of $1.25
Please only bring minimal baggage to the salon, one purse, one bag/backpack.
Please know I will be extending my hours and working as many days as possible to accommodate everyone.
If you are immunocompromised or are concerned about coming into the salon for any reason, please contact me directly to see what steps we can take to make sure you are taken care of.
The salon will be operating at a 50% occupancy in the salon so upon opening, this means I have a little different of a schedule, I will be working 7 days a week to try to make sure every gets in as soon as possible.
I know this isn’t ideal for you, and I'm truly sorry, but please bear with me, I want to treat everyone fairly and get us all back on track. I miss you all and can’t wait to see you in my chair again soon! If you have any questions please send me a txt or call.
